Clubsafe: Your guide to exploring nightlife
This project started as a school assignment for the Communication and Multimedia Design study. The task was to write content for a website, but together with Lua Telgt, it turned into something much more personal. We created a fictional site about a real issue, safety in the club scene, to offer others guidance and support. It grew into something we're really proud of.
How it started
For this assignment, we had to create content for a website with a strong focus on user experience. The aim was to learn how to write clear content and structure it in a way that guides users through the site.We chose the topic of safety in the club scene because it's something we both connect with. Going out can feel freeing, but we've also had moments that didn't feel safe. We missed proper guidance, and it's not something you easily talk about with your parents. Simple tips could've helped us back then, so that's what we wanted to offer others.
What we did
We started by writing down our ideas and organizing them into clear categories. That's how the idea for guides came up, short, focused sections that make the content easier to read and navigate. We added tags, breadcrumbs, and visual cues like color coding to help users find their way and keep the structure clear.We also gave the website a positive club vibe. It was important to us that it felt open, safe, and not too serious, so people would actually enjoy visiting and feel comfortable exploring the content.
